About Us
Founded in 1951, Collegium Musicum Basel is the city's oldest independent professional orchestra. Around 50 professional musicians shape the city's musical life with seven concerts at the Stadtcasino Basel. Renowned for its classical and romantic repertoire, the orchestra combines the highest quality with a special closeness to its audience and continues to this day without state subsidies, thanks to dedicated patrons and sponsors.
